Responsibilities
- Perform critical system maintenance, patching, and updates during weekend shifts.
- Monitor server health, network traffic, and application performance to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Respond to and resolve technical incidents escalated from the Help Desk or on-call team.
- Execute nightly backups and verify data integrity and storage capacity.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy non-production code changes.
- Document all system changes and maintenance activities in the knowledge base.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration or IT support.
- Strong proficiency in Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Must be willing and able to work weekends (Friday through Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
