Responsibilities
- Coordinate weekend staffing assignments and patient care workflows across multiple departments
- Serve as primary point of contact for urgent clinical decisions during weekend shifts
- Implement and monitor patient safety protocols during off-peak hours
- Facilitate interdisciplinary communication between on-call providers and support staff
- Manage weekend patient admission/discharge processes with precision
- Conduct weekend quality audits and document compliance activities
- Train weekend staff on updated clinical procedures and emergency protocols
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field required
- Minimum 2 years healthcare coordination experience with weekend shift exposure
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in Epic EMR scheduling systems
- Exceptional crisis management and decision-making abilities
- Kentucky healthcare compliance knowledge preferred
- Availability to work all weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 6am-10pm)
