Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient intake, registration, and check-in processes during weekend shifts
- Manage appointment scheduling and verify insurance eligibility with precision
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical documentation using Epic EHR systems
- Handle patient inquiries and triage urgent calls following established protocols
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times
- Collaborate with on-call physicians to optimize weekend patient flow
- Prepare and sterilize examination equipment for weekend procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year healthcare administration or patient services experience
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic EMR strongly preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Phlebotomy certification a plus
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed
