Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning), and technical documentation.
- Debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance optimization.
- Learn and implement best practices for software development, security, and scalability.
- Assist in the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud architectures.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Eligibility to participate in the J1 Trainee Exchange Visitor Program.
- Basic proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must be willing to relocate to Portland, Oregon for the duration of the contract.
