Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices using Java/Spring Boot on AWS
- Lead CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins and Kubernetes
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Optimize system performance with database tuning and caching strategies
- Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical specs
- Drive DevOps initiatives including infrastructure-as-code with Terraform
- Contribute to open-source projects and technical documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in backend development with cloud-native applications
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs
- Strong AWS/Azure/GCP certification (Solutions Architect preferred)
- Proven experience with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA/Confluence
