Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Lead architectural decisions and code reviews to ensure best practices and technical excellence across the team.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and frontend engineers to define and implement new features.
- Optimize database performance and reduce latency in critical financial transaction paths.
- Identify technical debt and drive refactoring initiatives to improve system maintainability.
- Mentor junior developers, conducting code reviews and providing technical guidance.
- Participate in the full SDLC, from technical design to deployment and post-launch monitoring.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Go, with deep knowledge of Spring Framework.
- Extensive experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB/Cassandra).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
