Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive forces impacting 2026+ business landscapes
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for emerging technologies (AI, quantum, bioengineering, etc.)
- Architect strategic foresight models integrating predictive analytics with qualitative human insights
- Present visionary roadmaps to executive leadership and cross-functional innovation teams
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and think tanks for future-focused research
- Mentor junior futurists in methodology and strategic foresight best practices
- Publish thought leadership on future trends in industry publications
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Systems Thinking, or related field
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and trend impact assessment methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills translating complex futures into compelling narratives
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) for trend analysis
- Published work on future trends or strategic foresight in peer-reviewed journals
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful strategic foresight implementations
