Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs to safeguard organizational data.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Respond to and remediate security incidents, conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment of new applications and systems.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident reports and policy updates.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff members to reduce human error risks.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or IT support.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or higher (e.g., CISSP, CEH) is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, firewalls, and secure network protocols.
- Tools: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds) and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
