As a cornerstone of our infrastructure team, you'll design AWS/GCP architectures, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and mentor engineers. Our Reno hub combines Silicon Valley innovation with mountain-town affordability, featuring flexible workspaces, on-site wellness facilities, and frequent team retreats to Lake Tahoe.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP with 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Lead migration of legacy systems to serverless architectures using Terraform and Kubernetes
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Jenkins for 15+ microservices
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and architecture reviews
- Implement security best practices including IAM policies and infrastructure scanning
- Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Document cloud architectures and create runbooks for incident response
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cloud engineering with 3+ years in AWS/GCP environments
- Expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong Python/Go skills for automation and tooling development
- Experience with Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) and container orchestration
- Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent
- Proven track record of leading cloud migrations and cost optimization
- Excellent problem-solving skills for complex distributed systems
- Ability to work in hybrid model (3 days in-office, 2 remote)
