Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks such as planting, cultivating, weeding, and harvesting crops according to established safety and quality standards.
- Operate farm machinery and hand tools, including tractors, harvesters, and shovels, under the supervision of experienced crew leaders.
- Assist with the sorting, grading, packing, and loading of harvested produce for distribution.
- Ensure a clean and organized work area by properly disposing of trash and debris.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and farm-specific protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks efficiently.
- Work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on crop cycles.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor for long hours, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking on uneven terrain for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Basic English language skills to understand safety instructions and verbal directions.
- Must possess valid identification documents required for H2A visa compliance.
- Reliable transportation to and from the designated work location.
- Previous experience in agriculture or farming is a plus but not required; we provide training.
