Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in strict adherence to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and document all observations and interventions in electronic health records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized nursing unit environment at all times.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code blue alerts.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (or equivalent) in good standing with the state of Louisiana.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred but not mandatory).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (depending on unit requirements).
- Strong proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality of care standards.
- Eligibility to work in the US or willingness to apply for visa sponsorship (H1B, Green Card, or TN status).
