Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, monitoring patient health status and reporting changes to physicians and nursing staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Perform accurate and timely patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively, demonstrating critical thinking and calmness under pressure.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Louisiana (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; Pediatric Life Support (PALS) preferred.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to obtain necessary visa sponsorship (H-1B, H-2B, or TN status).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
