Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care and clinical assessments in accordance with state regulations and hospital protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems in a remote-friendly capacity.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, escalating concerns immediately to the charge nurse or physician.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication side effects, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and daily shift huddles to optimize unit efficiency.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio (or compact state eligibility).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) to ensure patient safety and effective communication.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with a focus on empathy and cultural competence.
