Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum computing hardware architectures for 2026 deployment roadmap
- Develop cryogenic control systems and quantum interconnects at millikelvin temperatures
- Lead integration of quantum processors with classical HPC infrastructure
- Optimize quantum error correction codes for fault-tolerant operations
- Collaborate with theoretical physicists on quantum algorithm implementation
- Document quantum system specifications and performance benchmarks
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum hardware best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in quantum computing or superconducting circuit development
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering and low-noise measurement systems
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with quantum error correction protocols
- Strong background in electromagnetic field theory and microwave engineering
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Security clearance eligibility (Top Secret preferred)
