Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for NISQ-era hardware
- Lead fault-tolerance research for 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware teams on quantum error correction protocols
- Publish top-tier research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science or equivalent research impact
- Expertise in Qiskit/Cirq/Q# with 3+ years quantum coding
- Published work in quantum error correction or topology
- Experience with superconducting/photonic quantum systems
- Strong background in algebraic topology and category theory
- Track record of translating theory to practical applications
- Exceptional problem-solving in open-ended research domains
