Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and cryptography
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using trapped-ion systems
- Collaborate with AI researchers to create hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA and NSF quantum computing grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Science/Nature/Physical Review X)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum annealing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proficiency with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware control interfaces
- Strong background in topological quantum computing and Majorana fermions
- Demonstrated experience securing government research funding
- Patent portfolio in quantum information processing (minimum 3 granted patents)
