Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptographic vulnerability analysis
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant security frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics/Quantum journals
- Collaborate with US Department of Defense on quantum communication standards
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning applications
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates preferred)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Clearance eligibility for government research partnerships
- Portfolio demonstrating scalable quantum algorithm implementations
