Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals/conferences (Nature, IEEE Quantum)
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with practical implementations
- Secure and manage research grants from DARPA, NSF, and industry consortia
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Develop IP portfolios for commercialization opportunities
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in quantum circuit optimization and simulation tools
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters (HPC) and GPU acceleration
- Track record of securing research funding or industry partnerships
