Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error mitigation techniques to enhance quantum circuit reliability
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Collaborate with AI researchers to integrate quantum computing into next-generation systems
- Secure $1M+ in research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to patent development strategy
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction protocols
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for NP-hard computational challenges
