Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel error correction techniques for quantum coherence
- Collaborate with hardware team to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with AI and materials science divisions
- Publish findings in top-tier academic journals and industry conferences
- Secure federal grants and corporate partnerships for quantum research
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum computing
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contracts
