Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cutting-edge research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate quantum circuit designs on real quantum processors
- Develop simulation frameworks for quantum algorithm performance analysis
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation projects
- Secure external funding through NSF, DOE, and DARPA grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Publication record in Nature, Science, or IEEE Quantum journals
- Expertise in high-performance computing and parallel programming
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability, and optimization
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum hardware
