Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum R&D initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum simulation and benchmarking methodologies
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic quantum networks
