Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Develop error correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $1M+ in NSF/DARPA grant funding
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with Intel/IBM on quantum hardware integration
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information
- 3+ years experience with quantum circuit simulation (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing venues
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms
- Proven ability to secure research funding
- US citizenship required for government collaborations
