Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Design and execute quantum circuit simulations on hardware prototypes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into existing systems
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Lead quantum error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant computing
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of quantum programming experience (Q#, Cirq, Qiskit)
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
