Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop error correction protocols for scalable quantum processors
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quantum software integration
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics fundamentals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum circuit design or quantum programming
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, or Cirq frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra and statistical mechanics
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
