Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum error correction architectures
- Lead experimental validation on quantum hardware platforms
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor quantum engineering interns and junior researchers
- Collaborate with AI teams on hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion qubits
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Ability to secure DoE/NASA research funding
