Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and top-tier conferences
- Secure $10M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or IEEE Transactions
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and compilation
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Proven ability to secure competitive research funding
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
