Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead a multidisciplinary research team in developing fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with industry partners to translate quantum research into commercial applications
- Publish breakthrough findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Develop quantum computing frameworks compatible with classical HPC systems
- Secure research grants and partnerships with government agencies and tech giants
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish quantum computing curriculum for next-gen engineers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum error correction, qubit architectures, and quantum simulation
- Published record in Nature/Science journals or equivalent top-tier publications
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical HPC systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure $1M+ research grants from NSF/DARPA/industry consortia
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Deep understanding of quantum advantage applications in cryptography, materials science, and AI
