Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in designing and implementing quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Drive research on qubit stability and error correction protocols
- Develop proprietary quantum simulation frameworks for enterprise clients
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual research grants from federal and private sources
- Present findings at premier conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting)
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish in top-tier journals (Nature, Science)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-classical hybrid systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published author in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and topological quantum computing
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Track record of securing competitive research funding
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware integration
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum applications
- US citizenship required for government collaboration projects
