Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at global conferences
- Secure and manage R&D funding from government and private sector partners
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years research experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithm development
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proficiency with cryogenic systems and RF engineering for quantum hardware
- Strong background in machine learning and classical-quantum hybrid systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF/DoE/DARPA)
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
