Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for enterprise-scale applications
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical workflows optimizing computational efficiency
- Lead quantum algorithm implementation on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with MIT and CERN researchers on quantum cryptography standards
- Document quantum system architectures using QASM and OpenQASM frameworks
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum error correction techniques
- Present quarterly quantum roadmap progress to CTO advisory board
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years implementing quantum algorithms on real hardware (IBM Q, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Deep understanding of Shor's and Grover's algorithm implementations
- Experience with cryogenic quantum system engineering
- Security clearance for DoD quantum projects preferred
