Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum computing architectures optimized for error correction and scalability
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Research and evaluate emerging quantum hardware technologies
- Create performance benchmarks and optimization protocols for quantum systems
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners on quantum integration roadmaps
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Publication record in quantum computing or peer-reviewed research
- Strong knowledge of classical HPC architectures and parallel computing
