Job Description
Join Nexus Quantum Labs at the forefront of technological evolution as we pioneer the quantum computing revolution shaping 2026. We're seeking a visionary Quantum Computing Architect to design next-gen systems that will redefine computational possibilities. This role offers the rare opportunity to work with Nobel laureates and industry pioneers in our state-of-the-art San Francisco campus.
Our team operates at the intersection of theoretical physics and practical application, developing quantum algorithms that solve previously intractable problems in cryptography, drug discovery, and climate modeling. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate quantum theory into scalable, real-world solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum circuit architectures for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for enterprise applications
- Lead quantum error correction protocol optimization for 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define quantum processor specifications
- Create quantum software development frameworks for non-quantum developers
- Present quantum computing roadmaps to C-suite executives and venture partners
- Drive quantum security standards for post-quantum cryptography transitions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing research or commercial quantum software development
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and information theory
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
