Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum circuits for NISQ and fault-tolerant architectures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Implement quantum error correction protocols using surface codes
- Create quantum-resistant cryptographic systems for 2026 infrastructure
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Publish research in Nature Quantum or IEEE journals
- Secure $10M+ in quantum computing grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years designing quantum algorithms or error correction systems
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and coherence times
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor interfaces
- Security clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
