Responsibilities

- Develop error-correction frameworks enabling fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning algorithms
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Research and implement novel quantum communication protocols for 2026 deployment
- Secure $50M+ in government and private quantum research funding
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years designing quantum computing systems with proven hardware implementation
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience securing federal quantum research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ limitations
- Track record of commercializing quantum technologies
