Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics for corporate and social events (15-20 events/month)
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with DC-based suppliers
- Oversee event setup/breakdown at venues like Ronald Reagan Building and Watergate Hotel
- Develop detailed run-of-show documents and contingency plans
- Conduct on-site supervision during event execution
- Post-event reporting and client satisfaction follow-ups
- Maintain inventory of event materials and equipment
Qualifications
- 2+ years event coordination experience or relevant internship
- Proficiency in event management software (Cvent, Eventbrite)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work evenings/weekends (15-20 hrs/week)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of DC venue landscape preferred
- Ability to lift 25 lbs occasionally
