Responsibilities
- Lead and Manage: Direct daily operations, ensuring all logistics and supply chain processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement lean manufacturing or operational strategies to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and supervise a diverse team of supervisors and floor staff, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
- Budget Management: Oversee departmental budgets, manage operational costs, and ensure profitability targets are met.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, with a zero-tolerance approach to safety violations.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure stock availability without overstocking.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular reports to senior management and liaise with external vendors and clients.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in operations management or supply chain leadership, preferably in the logistics or manufacturing sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive performance improvements.
