Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the full lifecycle of warehouse and logistics operations to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement Lean or Six Sigma strategies to enhance productivity.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and supervise a team of supervisors, coordinators, and operational staff to foster a high-performance culture.
- Cost Management: Monitor operational budgets, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Vendor Relations: Collaborate with external vendors and carriers to negotiate favorable terms and resolve logistical issues.
- Reporting: Generate and present detailed operational reports to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, supply chain, or manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex logistical challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data clearly.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends, as required by business needs.
