Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage and optimize daily workflows, ensuring that all logistics and supply chain processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Financial Management: Manage the departmental budget, monitor operational costs, and drive initiatives to reduce expenses without sacrificing quality.
- Vendor Relations: Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to secure the best rates and service levels.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and environmental compliance.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term operational strategies aligned with company goals.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in operations management or logistics, preferably within the supply chain industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving performance metrics.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.
