Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operational activities across warehouse, transportation, and distribution channels
- Develop and implement strategic process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 15+ operational specialists
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align operational goals with business objectives
- Analyze performance metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts
- Prepare detailed operational reports for executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in operations leadership
- Proven track record of optimizing supply chain and logistics processes
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Lean Six Sigma or PMP certification preferred
- Experience managing teams in unionized environments a plus
