Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of 50+ person distribution center with $15M+ annual throughput
- Implement lean methodologies to reduce waste and improve productivity metrics by 20% annually
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for transportation and warehousing services
- Develop and maintain operational budgets with <5% variance targets
- Lead cross-departmental projects for system implementations and process improvements
- Analyze KPIs to identify bottlenecks and implement data-driven solutions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety protocols
- Mentor operations team through performance reviews and skill development programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Business Administration
- 7+ years progressive experience in logistics or distribution operations
- Proven track record of managing P&L with $10M+ budget responsibility
- Advanced proficiency in WMS/TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Active preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in process mapping and Six Sigma/Lean methodologies
- Exceptional leadership abilities with demonstrated team-building success
- Valid Georgia driver's license with clean driving record
- Certifications in APICS, CPIM, or CSCP highly desirable
