Responsibilities
- Monitor Systems: Actively monitor server health, network performance, and application logs to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact users.
- Troubleshoot Incidents: Provide first-level technical support for hardware and software issues reported by the night operations team.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security protocols and conduct nightly vulnerability scans to ensure data integrity and system safety.
- Data Management: Perform scheduled backups, data archiving, and system maintenance during off-peak hours to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of all incidents, resolutions, and system changes in the IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
- Communication: Liaise with the day shift team to hand over unresolved tickets and ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT Support, Helpdesk, or Network Administration.
- Shift Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts and weekends.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot technical problems independently and effectively.
- Education: A relevant IT qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above) or equivalent work experience.
