Responsibilities
- Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot complex server environments and databases 24/7 to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Execute critical night-time maintenance windows, patching, and security updates without disrupting day operations.
- Respond immediately to on-call alerts and resolve high-severity incidents during off-peak hours.
- Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure management tasks using Python, Bash, or Ansible.
- Conduct nightly security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect company assets.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to document issues, hand off critical tickets, and ensure seamless continuity.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in System Administration, DevOps, or Network Engineering.
- Deep expertise in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and infrastructure as code (Terraform/Ansible).
- Valid AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud experience.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote night environment.
