Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services and APIs optimized for 24/7 operation.
- Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts during the night shift to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with the day-shift engineering team to ensure seamless handovers and documentation of critical changes.
- Optimize database queries and infrastructure performance to handle high-volume data processing.
- Implement security best practices and conduct code reviews to ensure system stability.
- Deploy updates and patches to production environments outside of peak business hours.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend technologies.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, night-shift setting.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to system maintenance.
