Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure during night hours to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical systems.
- Perform routine patching, updates, and configuration changes to enhance security and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve network outages, latency issues, and hardware failures with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to document issues and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect company assets.
- Manage and troubleshoot VPN access and remote connectivity for off-site staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking hardware, routing, and switching protocols.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, or equivalent).
- Ability to work independently and effectively during the night shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- CCNA or higher certification is preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
