Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory tests and analyses on blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids
- Operate and maintain advanced diagnostic equipment (hematology, chemistry, microbiology)
- Ensure strict compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations
- Document and report accurate test results with meticulous attention to detail
- Collaborate with healthcare team to provide critical diagnostic insights
- Quality control and calibration of laboratory instruments
- Participate in continuing education and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- ASCP or AMT certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical laboratory experience
- Proven ability to work independently during night shifts
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle biological specimens
- New Mexico state licensure (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
