Responsibilities
- Planting & Cultivation: Perform manual labor involved in planting, cultivating, and maintaining organic crops according to established agricultural standards.
- Harvesting: Efficiently harvest produce at peak ripeness to ensure maximum quality and shelf life.
- Machinery Operation: Operate and maintain farm machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Farm Maintenance: Assist in general farm maintenance, irrigation setup, and soil preparation.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Quality Control: Inspect crops for pests or diseases and report issues to the farm manager immediately.
Qualifications
- Visa Status: Must currently hold a valid H2A visa or be eligible to apply for one.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Prior experience in agriculture, farming, or farm labor is preferred but not always required for qualified candidates.
- Language: Basic English proficiency is required for safety and communication purposes.
- Work History: Reliable work history demonstrating punctuality and teamwork.
- Tools: Ability to use hand tools and farm equipment.
