Responsibilities
- Perform manual harvesting of specialty crops (tomatoes, peppers, squash) using proper techniques
- Operate farm machinery including tractors and irrigation systems with certification
- Monitor crop health and report pest/disease issues to supervisors
- Assist with packinghouse operations including sorting, grading, and quality control
- Maintain field hygiene and follow food safety protocols (HACCP standards)
- Participate in crop rotation planning and soil preparation activities
Qualifications
- Valid H2A visa sponsorship eligibility required
- Minimum 2 years commercial farming experience in vegetable production
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work 10-hour days in all weather conditions
- Basic English communication skills for safety instructions
- Clean driving license preferred for equipment operation
- Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) techniques
- Ability to obtain required pesticide applicator certification
