Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest seasonal crops including sugarcane, sweet potatoes, and citrus
- Operate and maintain farm machinery (tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems)
- Monitor crop health and apply pest control treatments as per regulations
- Perform field maintenance including soil preparation, weeding, and irrigation management
- Assist in post-harvest processing including washing, sorting, and packaging
- Adhere to OSHA and USDA safety standards at all times
- Complete daily production logs and quality control documentation
Qualifications
- Valid H2A visa eligibility or current work authorization for agricultural roles
- Minimum 6 months prior experience in crop production or farm work
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions (heat, humidity)
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation and minor repairs
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Pass pre-employment physical examination and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for 8+ hours daily
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow English/Spanish instructions
