Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest seasonal crops (e.g., onions, peppers, pecans) according to agricultural best practices.
- Operate farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations.
- Load, unload, and transport harvested produce to packing stations or storage facilities.
- Perform general farm maintenance tasks such as weeding, pruning, and soil preparation.
- Monitor crop health and report any signs of disease, pests, or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with a diverse team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and qualify for H2A visa sponsorship.
- Physically capable of performing manual labor for long periods, including lifting 50+ lbs and standing for extended hours.
- Previous experience in agriculture, farming, or farm labor is highly preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and night shifts as required by the season.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate standard farm equipment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the job site.
